Jobs and careers
A multidisciplinary school recognized in the most innovative sectors of activity

Data from the Conference of the French institution of higher education (Conférence des Grandes Écoles) national survey (2021 graduates)
- Survey conducted at the start of 2023 on the class of 2022
- 70%: response rate to the survey
- 81% permanent employees
- Full employment reached quickly: majority before graduation,90% within 2 months
- ENSTA Bretagne's employment rate is much higher than the national average for engineers (source CGE 2022): +4 points (national average in 2022: 93%).
Successful employability
The figures from the annual employment survey conducted among young graduates confirm this each year:
- ENSTA Bretagne graduates quickly move into jobs with responsibilities.
- They work in France and abroad, for SMEs and large groups, in design offices and in high-tech companies, in many sectors of excellence: maritime, automotive, aerospace, digital systems, defense and security...
- They work in a variety of engineering professions and jobs: design, development, architecture, expertise, testing, calculation, studies, R&D, research, shipyards, project management, entrepreneurship, quality, etc.

The ENSTA Bretagne Alumni Association runs the ENSTA Bretagne graduate network, and accompanies them throughout their career and all through life, with many services on offer. The association’s office is on the school campus, which makes it easy for students to speak to over 5000 former students.
Some memorable moments throughout the year:
- The reunion weekend when several former cohorts are invited to come back to Brest and discover the latest changes to their school. It is also an opportunity for “old boys and girls” to speak to the students and really get a lot out of the reunion weekend.
- The « student/graduate » forums (to prepare for professional life) and « internships & jobs » enabling ENSTA Bretagne students to meet the graduates, to network and discover many career possibilities.

Our partners and networks
Interactions with businesses are particularly prominent, both in teaching and research, across all the disciplines covered by the school.
Each year, new partners join this dynamic network, with a view to:
- recruiting top engineers
- offering internships and apprenticeships
- putting forward study and R&D projects to the students for their applied projects
- training their teams through professional training sessions
- conducting research programs or experimental studies with the school's laboratories.
The strong involvement of businesses in the life of the school has many benefits for the school:
- access to experts to give lectures, join judging panels, participate in conferences and alumni fairs
- establishment of shared laboratories and research chairs
- sponsorship of a class
- financial support.
Internship offers, job offers, apprenticeship offers, research contract offers, professional training, French educational tax... we have many ties with businesses. Some companies have signed a partnership agreement with ENSTA Bretagne.

Impact, ENSTA Bretagne’s Junior Enterprise

Junior IMPACT is ENSTA Bretagne’s Junior-Enterprise, part of the Junior-Enterprise Movement (CNJE). It enables students to complete studies and projects for companies, so as to go further with their studies and gain hands-on experience.
For example, the projects could be market studies or polls, the design of electronic route cards, the creation of websites and so on. The students thus complete their training and discover the different activities of engineers.

Participate in our events
The career forum, organized on campus, is an opportunity for companies to meet students who are looking for an internship or their first job. It also gives ENSTA Bretagne engineers the chance to chat with Alumni about the engineering profession and to develop their network.
Every year, representatives from one of the school's corporate partners spend a day or half-day with their sponsored 2nd-year class. Sponsors return to the school the following year to attend the class graduation ceremony.
1st-year students begin their internships at the end of December or beginning of January. Students in other years of study begin their internships in March or April.
3rd-year students present the results of their group projects over several weeks.
Over 18 weeks, 2nd-year students develop technical solutions to problems submitted by businesses (students and teachers jointly select project subjects from submissions).

Supervised engineering projects
During their training, students work in groups over the course of several weeks or even months on real projects submitted by companies, working independently (with teacher supervision) to develop solutions.
Junior IMPACT
Combining professionalism and flexibility, IMPACT's members will support you in carrying out your projects by drawing on high-level teaching and on the training provided by their partners and those of the Confédération Nationale des Junior-Entreprises (National Confederation of Junior Enterprises, or CNJE), such as ALTEN, EY, BNP Paribas and Saint-Gobain. Since its creation in 2016, IMPACT has been proud to be affiliated with the CNJE, France's leading student movement.
