Alan was recruited by Herakles at the end of his final-year internship, and embarked on a very fulfilling career!
Alan
Class of 2013
Pyrotechnics Specialist

Originally from Saint-Nazaire, where he completed preparatory classes in physics and chemistry, Alan chose to enroll at ENSTA Bretagne because of the diversity of majors available. He began in Mechanical Engineering and then moved into Pyrotechnics.

In his third year, he did an internship at Herakles (formed by the merger of SNPE Matériaux Energétiques and Snecma Propulsion Solide), a member of the French SAFRAN group.

His internship project focused on the development of a gas generator to study thermal seals.

At the end of his internship, his managers advised him to apply for several positions, including that of program manager in the team of Benoît Coleau, a 1994 Pyrotechnics graduate who had observed Alan's progress over six months.

Alan was hired for this job, and today manages a team of engineers working on various technical projects.

One of our clients is the DGA, and my role is to oversee the technical and financial progress of our projects.
