Student Life
The association Esprit IETA was founded in 2017 by ENSTA Bretagne IETA military engineering students* with a view to raising public awareness of the war-wounded and to raising funds in their favor.

Rallying sports events

Every year, the association organizes a sports event to which one or more people wounded during wars are invited to take part. A hike in Corsica along the GR 20 hiking route, a 700 km itinerary by bike… for several days, the sports event nurtures ties between IETA military engineering students and the participants with war injuries and helps to raise public awareness.

In 2021, the IETA military engineering students accompanied a war veteran suffering from psychological trauma along the footpaths of the Crozon peninsula on the Atlantic coastline. In 2022, the project is scheduled to take place in the Dordogne, for a 4-day trip down the gorges over nearly 100 km.

Financial support for the National Office for Veterans and Victims of War (ONACVG)

IETA military engineering students engage meaningfully in the community in other ways too. All year round, they continue to raise funds for the National Office for Veterans and Victims of War (ONACVG): sales of remembrance items bearing the French cornflower (Bleuet de France) are organized at regular intervals, as well as other events and sponsoring.

On Thursday, March 3, 2022, a cheque for €2,500 was given to the ONACVG at the close of the activities conducted by the association’s 2020/2021 bureau.
