On 1 September, Eric Jaeger joined ENSTA Bretagne as Deputy Director.
A former student of ENSTA Bretagne (ENSIETA) and a Doctor in Computer Science, Eric Jaeger is an armaments engineer. He was previously head of the Information Systems Security Cluster of the French Procurement and Technology Agency (DGA), after having worked in cybersecurity and digital technologies for the Ministry of Armed Forces at ANSSI and NATO.

His career history

Eric Jaeger began his career in 1996 in the field of tactical data links in the DGA, at the Paris Technology Center (CTP) then, from 1998 to 2000 in the Information, Telecommunication, Observation Program Service (SPOTI).

Named French National Expert by the C3 Agency NATO (NC3A) in Brussels in 2000, he worked on dossiers concerning telecommunications and cybersecurity.

In 2004, he joined the Direction Centrale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information (DCSSI), the information and cybersecurity service of the French Prime Minister, which became the Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information (ANSSI) in 2009. He was a research engineer, then head of laboratory and became the head of  the information system security training center at the beginning of 2012.

At the end of 2014, he went back to the Ministry of Defense as an information systems security civil servant, then was named head of the DGA’s information systems security cluster in October 2017. This position led him to define and implement strategic programs concerning human resources, skills, knowledge, required capabilities, R&D and innovation for this cluster.

He has now been Deputy Director of ENSTA Bretagne since 1 September 2020.

Education

An ENSTA Bretagne Electronics engineer (1995), Eric Jaeger holds two masters in Computer Science (ENSICA in 1996, MPRI in 2005) and a doctorate in Computer Science (LIP6 and EDITE in 2010).
