Proof of the development of the school, the ENSTA Bretagne campus has been a building site for several months. There are two building projects underway: the training building is being extended and a new research facility is being built dedicated to Mechanics. A third project (renovation of N Building benefitting ICT research) will start upon the completion of the first two.
Project 1 : an extra 375 m² for training
Raised on stilts and dedicated to teaching, the extension of the training building (Building F) has been completed on 2 levels. It has two classrooms accommodating 24 and two mixed use rooms accommodating 84. The renovation and refurbishment of the adjoining classrooms is also on the cards. The work will increase in this zone when the 3rd year students leave to do their final year projects. The new rooms will be ready for the start of the new school year 2018.
Having started at the end of 2017, this ambitious research and training expansion program will enable the facilities to increase by 1900 m² be it 8.5% of additional construction.
An additional 2000 m² every 5 years has been the expansion rate of the facilities on campus at ENSTA Bretagne since the beginning of the 2000s.
Project 2 : a new 1 600 m² building for research in Mechanics
As for research, the work is also progressing. The future T Building, linked to the research center, should get underway in the next few weeks. This new 1 600 m² space over two levels will enable the Mechanics Department (IRDL) test and research facilities to be grouped together and developed, obtained within the framework of the Regional State Plan 2015-2020.
At the moment, the ground is being leveled before the foundations are laid and the buidling begins .
Project 3 : Renovation of the building dedicated to information and communication technology research
The redesigning of this building dedicated to Information Technologies ( the Lab-STICC Laboratory) will begin at the end of 2018, after some of the teams have moved into the new T Building. This renovation will enable new facilities for cybersecurity to be housed, acquired thanks to the CPER 2015-2020.
